Becoming a Channel Manager
When you have established yourself as a writer on Helium and have shown your area of interest, why not apply to become a Channel Manager. It's easy, and worthwhile, as Channel Managers help to develop their channel and take pride in it. They encourage members, create titles, and generally caretake one little area of the site that they can call theirs. The advantages? You get more involved, and more in touch with other writers, and feel a sense of belonging and usefulness. Your online presence in that area of expertise gets more established.
